The Quality of Our Future Depends on the Quality of Our Ecosystems — Gregory D. Esau

GLEA.

We are networks.

We are a platform.

We are an ecosystem of ecosystems.

The Global.Local.Ecosystem.Alliance.
has been conceived to promote, advance, embed and engrain ecosystematic thinking in a G.lobally coherent strategy,
L.ocally expressed,
for addressing environmental degradation wrought by industrial era habits,
while E.cosystematically
freeing businesses and governments (macro-scale),
citizens and consumers (micro-scale)
from the gross limitations imposed by the technical and institutional legacy debt remnants of an industrial society
in a mesh network of A.lliances

GLEA is an Economic R.Evolution based on Ecosystematic Thinking and Natural Philosophy.

Cities Are Ecosystems.

All human organisational structures are ecosystems.

Economies of all shapes and sizes are ecosystematic.

The potential for reshaping our economic activity towards one that is sustainable and more productive through Ecosystem Orchestration is staggering.

By far the greatest challenge is overcoming technical debt and legacy institutions.
Additional barriers come from the first generation of platform based ecosystems which promote extraction strategies at the expense of the user base.
A false sense of economic gain for the masses.

Without a concerted effort at macro and micro levels, odds of surviving ecological and economic collapse due to poor and ignorant ecosystematic thinking will decrease with every passing day

The Global.Local.Ecosystem.Alliance (GLEA) is the “Strategic Doing” of this concerted effort to combat this systematic entropy.

Funding will be raised through “Crypto-Shares” of the GLEA Platform.

Every single citizen of the world must have a 100% Green Supply Network by 2040 or earlier. By proxy, every business and government on the planet thus will also be Green.
Green=Net Positive Environmental Impact.

Every single citizen by doing their part will live economically secure. Economically secure means housing, food, clothing, mobility and economic purpose. Every living thing has an economic purpose, humans just more complexly so.

Productivity in Ecosystems

Productivity in networks, platforms and ecosystems differ from that of the agrarian and industrial economies that preceded.
There are no externalities in ecosystems. Productivity in ecosystems takes this into account.

Thus, productivity in ecosystems is also measured in not just what is added, but also what is not added.

Every single movement of every single day aggregates as “human activity” creating economic waves and signals. These are either positive or negative to the system.

Productivity in Ecosystems is measured at network scale of the positive impact of our daily actions while mitigating and managing the risk of our negative impact.
What might be thought of as the “Circular Economy”, in our language this is simply Ecosystemonics.

GLEA as a Political Movement

Embedded political beliefs and ideology tied to legacy systems is a significant barrier to change.

To evolve governance is to evolve political mindsets.

Without a concerted political movement, ecosystematic thinking and Ecosystemonics will struggle to gain traction.
Our strategy includes developing political actors at all levels of government.

The Great Migration.

Digital sovereignty, digital identity, digital privacy, digital security, digital property are citizen’s most important battle ground of this century.

If we lose this battle, we’ve lost the war, leaving our future in the hands of .1% of the global population.

We have to own the platform we socialise on, do business through, engage in commerce within, contribute to the body politic through.
Platform Ownership is essential to distributed capitalism and personal autonomy in this century.

The GLEA Mandate is to provide the platforms for businesses, citizens and governments to migrate onto from their present predatory platforms.

By attracting and leveraging the rich soil of knowledge that exists around performance in networks and performance in ecosystems, through the GLEA platform design and development, our pioneering user base design “Proformance” capabilities alongside our elite swarms of knowledge networks and communities to build a platform that will outperform all other networks, platforms and ecosystems.

In short, our platforms must be a demonstrably better place to live, to engage socially, invest intellectually, engage in commerce, while governing our digital sovereignty.
All while moving steadily towards entirely green supply networks.

People are natural economists.
We are not known as Homo Economicus for nothing.
GLEA Platforms attract networks through high performance ecosystems. This is the core of our “Immigation” strategy to attract the best talent across all public and private domains to GLEA platforms.

Homo Economicus will decide for themselves if GLEA is the best use of their time and investment strategies.
Our job is to make this choice the optimal choice, the easy choice.

Mesh Capitalism: Digital Property Investment, Development and Deployment

Attention and Engagement. The Investment of your Time.

In the year 2022, these are your most valuable assets. This is your property. No one else’s. Correspondingly, on the open digital markets, your Attention and Engagement are the most coveted assets there are.

Where and how you engage your attention as intellectual, social and financial investments matter.

Whether you are paid by the hour, by contract, or as an owner, you are a product of your investments.

High Performance Ecosystems generate the best returns on these investments.

A key distinction between high Performance Ecosystems and Industrial Capitalism is how each values Social Capital Investment.
Industrial Capitalism has traditionally had an uneasy relationship with Social Capital to say the least. What it doesn’t do is explicitly reward Social Capital Investment.

And this is a modern tragedy.

High Performance Ecosystems explicitly and overtly nurture and reward Social Capital Investment.

In Mesh Capitalism, everyone owns a server. Digital Property Development & Management maximises the potential of that server and the person who owns it.

Digital Property Development & Management opens the way for the next generation of Public Corporations, the next generation of “stock markets” they publicly trade on, and the next generation of investment vehicles for how well government and business perform within ecosystems that are in the public domain.

This development ushers in a new era of public accountability and performance metrics for our publicly elected officials and publicly traded companies.

The “GLEA Coin” is tied to the value of the digital properties. Thus the GLEACoin, which is tied to the value of the “Share” (server) in the GLEA Ecosystem, is an important component of the free flowing “markets” within GLEA.

Platform Productivity Through Swarm Intelligent Networks Nested In High Performance Ecosystems.

Productivity is all that matters in economic life. Our collective quality of individual life is directly interdependent on the quality of our collective productivity.

Money, and the people who follow it, move towards superior productivity.
Ecosystemonics reflects this reality.

Productivity in ecosystems is very different from that of industrial capitalist models.
Or put another way, industrial capitalism does not capture the value of productivity in ecosystems.
Worse, industrial capitalism retards the natural productivity in ecosystems.

To understand this, we need to understand the life cycles of new value creation, which evolves in a continuous loop as expressed through commercial engagement between customer and provider.
By critically examining the flow through these loops from creation to consumer through Swarm Intelligence, we can come to realise and visualise just how much restrictions and friction that technical debt and industrial legacy systems are putting on productive flow from creator to consumer.

More importantly, we need to understand the vitality of well designed organisations as networks for collective productivity.

We need to understand productivity for as much of what we don’t do, for as much as what we do do and how we do it.

Flow in systems is a vital performance indicator.

Friction is as inevitable as entropy.
How well we manage friction matters as much as how we facilitate flow.

Civic Engagement and Contribution on GLEA Platforms

It is not controversial to note, or conjecture, that the quality and level of our engagement in the body politic is substantially suboptimal. We are divided. We are polarised. We are mostly angry.

Political ideologies are tragically out of touch with the needs and requirements of a modern, digitally connected world.

The economic underpinnings of all ideologies are dangerously out of tune with a digitally interdependent world.

Civilization will not survive these shortcomings.

GLEA platforms and how this engagement in the Body Politic as anchored to demonstrably performance in the public sphere is by far our greatest challenge of this century.

As a pioneering leader in this ecosystematic revolution, my belief based in my forty some odd years of investment in this political domain, is that if GLEA cannot get this right, no one else will.

We are not just in the ecological battle of our lives, we are not just in the economic battle of our lives, we are in the political battle of our lives.

Our platforms must elevate engagement with the Body Politic to extraordinary heights.

Anything less will be our ticket to suboptimal governance.

Suboptimal governance greatly reduces our odds of surviving climate induced environmental change.

Suboptimal Governance all but guarantees ever degrading economic conditions and opportunities for billions of people, flatlining or reversing the advances gained in the twentieth century, destroying the hard earned steps of previous generations.

Optimal Governance is a product of aligned stakeholder engagement from the public sector, the private sector and the citizen.

Engaged as ecosystematic philosophy, all stakeholders move towards actions that optimise the environmental conditions for all stakeholders.

While power to overwhelm the majority is always a threat, GLEA platforms by their design and culture greatly minimise this danger to society.

Nature and power abhor a vacuum, however.

In networks, power is dramatically different from industrial era institutions.

In Ecosystems, Ecosystem Orchestration is the most powerful position in the network via the platform.

For leaders in business, governance and politics, Ecosystem Orchestration is the most powerful expression of those spheres.

The International Villag.E:
It Takes a Village to Orchestrate an Ecosystem

The International Villag.E is a model I developed to express the nature of ecosystem orchestration at the civic level, and is the key to the GLEA platform for creating the capabilities needed at the civic level (Main Street) for developing the degree of transformation to migrate from an economy based on industrial era capitalism to one based on ecosystematic capitalism.

GLEA as an Economic REvolution cannot happen without The International Villag.E model embedded in communities all over the world.
Put simply, The InternationalVillag.E is a Supermind. A shared resource for all vested members in GLEA for solving problems at the ecosystematic level.

The International Villag.E is where Global and Local engage in the full range of “commerce” in a world where Intellectual Capital, Social Capital, Engagement Capital, Reputation Capital and Financial Capital are each equally weighted to our “share price”.

Put another way, the model of The International Villag.E equally weighs the investment of all these essential capitals, the very soil of economic life on earth.

The International Villag.E comes to define the nature of life and work in ecosystems.

The International Villag.E is where open and closed networks mesh in a continual “open market” of engagement around ideas and problem solving.

The International Villag.E is where our Collective Intelligence manifests itself to its highest “CIQ” (Collective Intelligence Quotient), aka Our Supermind.

Economics and Ecosystems are extraordinarily complex.

My research over the last thirty years is unequivocal: Collective Intelligence is the only way to manage these systems.

I express collective intelligence through SmartSwarms on the shop floor of The Garage — my own proprietary business model for value creation in ecosystems. The Garage is a next generation consulting house for new and/or renovated business models for excelling in networks, platforms and ecosystems.

The Garage is itself a cornerstone business model for The International Villag.E.

GLEA:
Who Belongs as Founding Pioneers for a New Economic Century

All over the world, there are leaders forging a path for this historical level of transformation, this paradigm shift.

To the leaders from businesses, governments and vested citizens who already understand that urgent action is needed now, GLEA is the platform you want to invest your time and attention.

For these courageous leaders, your impact on the future will be significantly amplified through the GLEA platform.

Keystone Industries and Sectors

  • Builders and developers, real estate, property management
  • Telecommunications
  • Auto mobility and transportation
  • Retail
  • Energy
  • Health
  • Education
  • Food services and supplies
  • Security
  • Government
  • Finance
  • Arts, Movies, & Entertainment
  • Media
  • Technology and Information
  • The Citizen, The Consumer, The Worker

While not exhaustive, as there are thousands of subsystems, every city is a product of these 15 keystones. Understood as interdependencies within ecosystems, these keystones are what supercharges cities. The GLEA model captures and fortifies these interdependencies for explosive growth in genuine productivity.

Each of these sectors will generate and capture multi-trillions of dollars in unrealised value and potential. Much of this nested in the cities and networks and their ecosystems.

GLEA is embedded in cities.
We are Main Street.
Publicly traded Corporations are Wall Street.
Cities (the small town right up to the metropolis) are the “Local” in GLEA.

What defines a GLEA business, GLEA government? GLEA citizen?
If the city you live in, govern in or do business in bleeds, you bleed.

If you bleed, the city bleeds.

We feel each other’s pain.
In the GLEA platform, we are all in this together.
This has alway been true with cities.

The global economy is a result, an “emergent property” of cities.

Not nations.

Not corporations.

Not governments.

It Is Cities.

Citizens. People. Communities. Neighbourhoods. Main Street. Across the entire socio-economic spectrum. Across the entire cultural spectrum.

The Quality of Our Future Depends on the Quality of Our Cities
The Quality of Cities is Interdependent on the Quality of Their Ecosystems.

Real revolutions are extraordinarily hard.

If there is one dictum that stands the test of time it is this:

United We Stand, Divided We Fall.

I don’t need to convince you of the consequences of a divided populace at this point in human history and life on earth.
Join United.

Join the GLEA R.Evolution.
